How do I get around Amazon API fail?

I am a seller in the Clothes category on Amazon and I ran into an issue. Our listings (as well as everyone elses) were being combined incorrectly. If a seller would load a new ASIN/UPC number on an existing listing everyone else would be kicked off the listing. The obvious answer seems to be to continue to run the API to match to the new ASIN/UPC but there lies the problem. On a get matching product it sends back all ASIN numbers that were ever labeled to a certain product. In one case a small white t-shirt had 153 asins, UNDER THE SAME ITEM. One issue is we have 1,000,000 listings so anything manual is out of the question.

My main question is if anyone has any experience with another type of call or feed that displays the correct product information in any form?

I currently am set up with "Get Matching Product" on an ASIN lookup

Note: I have spent two years trying to get amazon to fix this problem but since someone is selling the item it appears it doesnt matter to them.
