get elastic load balancer hosts after creating elastic beanstalk app to update dns

I want to update my cname automatically (via curl API) with the elastic load balancers public host after creating/deploying with elastic beanstalk. Is there any way to get and pass the hostname into a post deploy script/command inside the configs folder?
