Multiple amazon ec2 servers and S3 java servlet

We have multiple EC2 servers (tomcat) managed through load balancers and till date the documents mainly zip files are being saved on both EC2 servers and they are synchronized and synchronizing them has some issue. So we want to have content in a single place so that we do not have to synchronize them and we are considering AMAZON S3 for that.

Currently I implemented the S3 solution by redirecting to s3 temporary URL, but 2 of 6 mobile applications are not able to download data, probably due to redirection.

Please help with the best way I can stream these zip files to users( mobile applications) through servlet.

or if we have any other option to keep content files at a single place, please help.
