Amazon webs service not uploading image using s3

I have set up aws and have followed a tutorial which will allow users to upload images to s3 and cognito. Everything builds fine but once i run my method to upload i receive this error

i am in the uk so the only options i had was us and ireland. I think the eu-west-1 at the start of my url is causing me problems with my account. Has anyone had this problem, does cognate even work in the uk or should i set it to US even tho i am in uk
