How does one test Amazon SES Soft Bounces?

I'm working with the amazon ses API and implementing bounce handling right now. I've been using the email addresses listed on this page: http://ift.tt/Z2GlgY

my problem is that the bounce notification for the bounce address listed on the page above is always a hard bounce. I'd like to test with a soft bounce but I've been unable to find information on how to do that in the documentation.
