how to deploy a java non web application on AWS

I am trying to develop a management system in which the application will run on desktop but want the database to run on cloud which can be accessed by other remote user running the same application.How to deploy the application on cloud and other connectivity.also how to connect to beanstalk Iam using toad and AWS RDS.
