Sending bulk emails for marketing the product using AWS SES

I am looking for options to send bulk emails (over 70 lakh emails as part of product marketing campaign).

I had a look at the AWS SES. and another one called sendy.co https://sendy.co/ - Any feedback for this product?

When I have to integrate with the AWS SES, I just have to manage to pull off a batch script to get the to email address and the content and post it to AWS SES. Is this correct?

Is it a synchronous call or is it fire and forget ? At the end of the day, If I were to know how many emails were successfully sent and how many bounced/received complaints-how do I do this?
