Can't connect to socket.io instance in any port selected in EC2

I have tried several ports amongst 3000 and 8080 but nothing worked.  These are the ports I have opened and the output of my nginx server http://ift.tt/1Mk2qyo. The MySQL database is working as well as everything else. What could be happening?
