Starting IPython notebook (v 4.0.0) on AWS does not work?

I recently upgraded to IPython 4.0.0 (I guess now called Jupyter?)

In any case, in AWS I run:

ipython notebook --profile=nbserver

Instead of the server running as normal, I see the following (a browser on command line?):

When I try to access IPython/Jupyter from an actual web browser I get "This webpage is not available". I know my nbserver profile server is set up correctly, because everything works smoothly with IPython 3.2.0

How can I get the usual ipython notebook output to show:

+ the notebook to run as usual on the actual browser?
