Can we implement Amazon SES in Google App Engine?

Need to implement Amazon SES API in Google App Engine (Java). Referred this link http://ift.tt/1dzSwOI which was implemented few years back and tried to change few files of latest version as Radomir did, but failed to make it work.

Did anyone implemented with latest version of AWS SDK or through API in Google App Engine?

Please help me.
