Getting AWS Cognito Token on ios

Just starting Amazon Cognito and From searching the AWS docs and tutorials I've found this doc http://ift.tt/1Scq34v:

So I'm guessing I would use the GetId method but I"m not entirely sure. I am using Parse as my backend so I was wondering if I could get a token from the ios instead becuse it seems many tutorials reference getting it on the server side. I'm also going to use Parse for authentication instead of Google, Facebook, or Twitter.
