Elastic Beanstalk Docker and Django Celery

I want to deploy a Django 1.7, Python 3.4 application to Elastic Beanstalk and have celery running as a daemon in the background. I have seen some other posts about this, and they have mentioned creating custom AMI's... But now that EB supports deployment from docker containers, might it be possible to just run the celery daemon by commands in the Dockerfile?

I'm currently still struggling with other issues arising from EB django deployment, so I haven't been able to test it out for myself, but I was wondering if anyone can confirm or deny this
