AWS AMI Does Not Work

I am trying to copy an instance image and run it in another account. I first created an image of the instance that was running. I filled out the form with the required information. As a practice I tried to launch it in my existing account. I went to AMIs and found the AMI that I created. I then launched it. The new instance successfully started to run. However, it seems my application is not running. What am I doing wrong?
