Clarification on Hortonworks Certified Apache Hadoop Java Developer Exam

I would like to take up the Hortonworks Certified Apache Hadoop Java Developer certification. As published in website, the pattern of the exam changed from multiple choice to coding. So kindly clarify me on the following issues.

1. The AWS instance provided for practice (Hortonworks HDPCD_2.2 PracticeExam_v3 – ami-ac3f6ec4), having details about only pig , hive etc. But no map reduce example questions available. Is there any other EC2 instance has been created for the same?

2. To write the map-reduce code and packaging it into jar, as a developer we use an IDE. Are they providing any IDE to code the map-reduce programs in Exam?
