Hi All I am a naive user of AWS Ec2 and EBS stuff.
I had a completely healthy EC2 Ubuntu Instance running, Ubuntu suggested some updates, thus updated the system and from there all the chaos started.
Wanted to transfer some file to the Instance with FileZilla, it couldn't SSH, so tried rebooting the system, even the earlier SSH had lost.
I have very very very important data in it, need to access the files.
tried different methods of mounting volume to another (same region) instance, after the mount it gave me a folder "lost+found", though it was empty, it shows total 20 on top of the list as shown bellow. Reference :http://ift.tt/1sBieXi
root@ip-xxx-xx-xx-xxx:/lost+found# ls -lisa total 20 11 16 drwx------ 2 root root 16384 Mar 25 11:53 . 2 4 drwxr-xr-x 24 root root 4096 Aug 4 08:48 ..
Tried giving bad volume as the root "/dev/sda1" to a ubuntu Instance and while starting the instance, "Instance Status Checks" fails.
Spoke with couple of my friends, all say the volume got corrupted and cannot retrieve it back.
In need of serious help, did try many various things.
tell me if you need any more information than this.
