Adding re-write rule to tomcat on elastic beanstalk

With regards to this post: Rerouting all http traffic to https with AWS ELB

I wold like to do as suggested, but I have no idea where and how to put the rewrite logic url in the tomcat configuration using the .ebextentions configuration files concept of EBS.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!
