Amazon ec2 user Linux Lampp Phpmyadmin showing blank page

i followed this tutorial:

after that, i tried

sudo yum install phpmyadmin

it installed the phpmyadmin successfully, but when i visit http://ift.tt/1FLLjqn

i even tested to make a sample http://ift.tt/1PjEE7A,

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

shows php version and infos, means php is working. i also tried: mysql -u root -p , mysql works perfectly.

now the only thing left for me to do is a mysql database GUI, the phpmyadmin, which is showing blank page.

Am i missing something? whats next after installing phpmyadmin? is there anything else i have to configure?
