how to shutdown aws elastic beanstalk tomcat using aws sdk java

I am really new for the AWS and currently I am studying aws elastic beanstalk. I need to shutdown elastic beanstalk tomcat using aws sdk java. I have searched through some online articles and unable to fix my problem. Can anybody please help me to do this. Can anybody please explain simply how can I do this?
