Installation of Talend in Linux

I installed Talend,xulrunner and JDK 1.7 on linux(AWS). I tried to launch Talend Open Studio, but nothing's happening. I don't see metadata directory under the workspace directory to look for logs. My workspace directory is empty. Pls.advise. Thanks
