Using Parse.com vs Amazon Cloud Service as backend

I have read many things about Parse.com today - many of which were illustrations of bad experiences regarding reliability and scalability (not to say about query limits).

So I went to the Amazon to see what they got and I ended up with this: http://ift.tt/1LQDsGQ

It turns out that Parse is based on Amazon now. I'm little confused by now since I have two options:
- keep my mobile app working with Parse
- go with Amazon Cloud and do little refactoring in code

What are Your experiences with Amazon Cloud? Is it better? Why? Is it worth it?
