AWS EC2 and Domain transferring

What I've done:
(1) Apache2 server is ran on AWS EC2 instance with Elastic IP
(2) Registered a domain from Exabyte
(3) Change the domain nameserver to ns-457.awsdns-57.com, ns-817.awsdns-38.net, ns-1655.awsdns-14.co.uk, ns-1170.awsdns-18.org

Things I expected to be done:
(1) Point the domain from Exabyte to AWS EC2 Elastic IP
(2) Create sub-domains from domain I've purchased from Exabyte
(3) Sub-domains point to sub-folders of AWS EC2

Anyway I can achieve the points that I expected to be done? And are the steps I did wrong in any ways?
