EC2 Rails scheduler Server issue

I am building a web dashboard for power meters. Currently I am using a EC2 instance for development testing. I have a power meter that I use built a rails scheduler app to pull data from and stores inside a postgres database. Then I have another rails app, the dashboard that displays the data. The two apps and the database are currently sitting in the same EC2 micro instance. The problem I am having is that the server sort of crashes every few days but there doesn't seem to be any errors logged. The server is shown as online in the aws management console and restarting it doesn't help. I would have to stop it, then start it again. And it would start running again. I suspect it might have to do with my scheduler writing into the database but I am not sure what to check or how to check.

Do you guys have any advice for me? Where I should start checking? Thanks.

I am not sure if I provided enough information, let me know if there's any other information that I should provide. Thanks
