Migrating website from MAMP to AWS correctly

I have a website that I have built and tested using MAMP. It is just a regular PHP (/HTML/CSS/JS) application using a single MYSQL database. I have used sites like Godaddy before for hosting a site which is extremely easy but for this site I am trying to migrate to AWS for easy scalability.

This is what I have done so far, I wanted to find out If the way I am migrating the site correct ? and if anyone has any advice or tips as a heads up.

  • I have created an application using elastic beanstalk

  • Uploaded the db to the RDS instance

  • Created two buckets uploaded site files (php/css/js) to the bucket with the name of site (example.com) and directed the other bucket to (www.example.com) to the one with files.

  • Then I have the domain registered in route 53 to add records for linking to bucket.
